Since there
are as many different goals as there are people, we offer a variety of
excellent tools and "tailor" programs individually. Each person is free to
choose the techniques they prefer. While we don't mix different tools (we
maintain the integrity of each tool), we do offer techniques from a variety
of disciplines sequentially. Because we find that positive subconscious
beliefs are crucial to success, whatever the goal, we recommend that
PSYCH-K® be part of
each person's "tailored" program.
Here's a real-life story of how one woman used a combination of
PSYCH-K® and self-hypnosis to
successfully lose weight and keep it off after all else failed. One of our
clients named Brenda (not her real name) had been trying to lose 30 pounds
for 30 years. She'd been on every diet you can name (and then
some) and had lost weight several times, only to gain it back, with
"interest" a short time later. You can imagine how discouraged and
frustrated when she first came to us, but that's not the end of her story.
Brenda decided to alternate
PSYCH-K® and self-hypnosis
sessions to help her attain and maintain her weight loss goals. What a
winning combo that turned out to be for her.
PSYCH-K™ Balances helped
Brenda to change her non-supportive beliefs about weight loss to supportive
ones and to balance core issues. Subconscious support for positive changes
made all the difference.
Brenda also employed visual imagery and self-hypnosis to help her lose
weight easily and maintain her weight loss successfully. For example, at
holiday times, she would see herself in her mind's eye at company parties
where she would be eating small, satisfying amounts of a variety of
delicious foods. Soon, her real life experiences became a match for her
mental practice sessions and she began to lose weight.
PSYCH-K® Balances had
given Brenda the confidence that she could do this. New, positive beliefs
that supported her weight loss goals had replaced her old self-sabotaging
habits of thought. Self-hypnosis sessions helped her "imagine" her new slim

belief

a few examples of non-supportive beliefs. The good news is that with the
right tools, beliefs can be changed. Together, with Brenda, we explored her
non-supportive beliefs and then used PSYCH-K® techniques to balance for new,
supportive beliefs. We also taught Brenda how to use self-hypnosis,
meditation and visual imagery and she quickly began to lighten up -
literally!
There are many
other areas where these two techniques work well together. For example, both
PSYCH-K® and self-hypnosis are very useful in improving a person's
performance in sports. For instance, in addition to practice on the course,
a golfer might use PSYCH-K® to "edit" a subconscious belief that he or she
couldn't master a particular stroke. Then they could practice mentally like
the pros by using guided imagery and self-hypnosis to train mentally. Both
PSYCH-K® and self-hypnosis are very affordable as well as being very
effective because they're short term modalities and three to 10 sessions
are usually sufficient for most people to accomplish their goals.
